Privacy notice

Your email if you ask. And anonymous measurement only if you allow it.

This page explains what data we touch, what you explicitly requested, what you chose in the cookie banner, and how to change it anytime.

01

What we collect

Two things, both with your explicit permission: (1) Your email address — only when you voluntarily submit it through the newsletter form. (2) Aggregated browsing data — only if you enable measurement cookies from the bottom banner. We never collect your name, phone number, address, age, or gender. Measurement cookies are disabled by default.

02

Cookies and measurement — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (through Google Tag Manager) to understand which content works and to measure whether Google Ads campaigns are bringing relevant readers to the site. The first time you visit, the bottom banner asks what you authorize: "Essential only" (no measurement at all), "Accept all" (full measurement), or "Preferences" to configure four categories separately (analytics, advertising, ad user data, ad personalization). By default and before you decide, everything is denied — thanks to Google's Consent Mode v2. If you decline, Google still receives anonymous aggregated pings to model general trends, with no cookies and no identification. If you accept, Google may set cookies to recognize your session and measure individual interactions. You can change your decision anytime from the 🍪 icon at the bottom-left.

03

Specific events we measure

When you authorize measurement, we record: page views, clicks on Mercado Libre and Amazon buttons (to understand which channel you prefer), newsletter subscription confirmations, and visits to /donde-comprar. Each event carries minimal technical context (URL, language, device type) but no information that personally identifies you.

04

What we use your email for

Only to notify you when a new harvest is ready, when an edition is about to sell out, or to share editorial notes about beekeeping in Ticimul. Never for paid advertising or third-party promotions. We expect to send you less than one email per month.

05

Newsletter double opt-in

When you subscribe, we send you a confirmation email. You're not added to the list until you click the link in that email. If you never confirm, your address is automatically discarded. It's our way of ensuring you only receive emails you actually asked for.

06

Who else sees your data

Your email lives in Brevo (brevo.com), a European company subject to GDPR — policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy. Your aggregated browsing data, if you authorized it, goes to Google (Analytics 4 + Ads) — policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Default retention in GA4: 14 months, then automatic deletion. Beyond these two services, no one else has access. We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties under any circumstance.

07

How to unsubscribe from the newsletter

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you're out. If you prefer, write to hola@pueblomiel.mx and we'll remove you manually. Unsubscription is immediate and irreversible — if you want to come back later, you'll need to subscribe again.

08

How to revoke cookie consent

The 🍪 icon in the bottom-left corner opens the preferences modal at any time. Toggle off any categories you no longer want and save — your decision takes effect immediately and is persisted in this browser. If you switch devices or clear browser storage, you'll need to configure again.

09

Your rights (GDPR + LFPDPPP)

Under Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LFPDPPP) and the European GDPR, you have the right to Access, Rectify, Cancel, or Object to the processing of your data. To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@pueblomiel.mx with your request. We respond within 20 business days.

10

Data controller
